Board Games!

I wanted to share my love of board games and artsy photos in the next series of photos. I have several groups of friends who love playing boardgames. It’s interesting that we’re having a new renaissance of boardgames, I think part of it is the direct interpersonal connection people need is what is partially driving it. It’s far more immersive I’d say than videogames, I know that seems counter intuitive, but considering when you can see someone’s face, body language, and how they hold their cards and pieces. It tells a lot more information to our simian brain than any video game, no matter how well crafted. Uno uses more of our social cortex than any video game. Not that I don’t love video games that is, but I love a good board game with friends way more.

This is a game I am really bad ad, but it’s a classic tile building game, Carcassonne. I guess I was never cut out to be a farmer.
