I found it! The Tron People Mover Ride!
Yesterday I wrote about the new Tron roller coaster in Shanghai Disneyland, and how it reminded me of a Tron overlay on the old People Mover ride in Disneyland in California. And look at that, I found it on YouTube!
It was officially known as People Mover Thru the World of Tron. The video on YouTube was dated from 1990, So, I’m sure I saw it when I went the in Jr High and perhaps in college when I went down with some friends before the People Mover was shut down and turned into the Rocket Rods in 1995.
Yeah, I am reliving fond memories, just like Walt said when he opened his park. Naturally the video isn’t the greatest, but it’s a 26 year old VHS tape that was digitized. So I don’t mind, I’m just happy to move down memory lane.
I have to say YouTube is really, far and away the best website on the internet. This would’ve been a rumor that no one would remember, but now I can prove it happened. Thanks to all the great YouTubers that share all of this amazing stuff!
