Worth Reading: The Elements of Pop-Up
After watching a fantastic Webinar put on by Paper Specs with the amazing pop-up book creator Simon Arizpe, I was inspired to go pick up a copy of The Element’s of Pop-up by David A. Carter and James Diaz on Arizpe’s recommendation.
He wasn’t wrong, this is an amazing book that will teach you the basics of creating pop-up books and paper engineering. That it uses pop-ups to show you how to make them is a fantastic hands on way to do it.
Check out Arizpe’s website and Instagram channel. Really amazing stuff. I for one absolutely love his pop-up book for the Stranger Thing’s TV show.
