Cool Wayfinding Signage at Big Bend National Park

My family are a big fans of the national parks. We love exploring these beautiful gems. As a designer I am always drawn to see how each park uses graphics and design principles at their parks.

I really liked the way Big Bend National Park in Texas uses cut steel for their trail wayfinding signage. It’s a really amazing long term design solution. One that will handle the heat and sun that South Texas dishes out that will have minimal maintenance and will last for decades. Plus I love the wavy organic edges. It’s really well done, I’ll have to look into how it was done, it has some pretty fine lines on some if the letters and icons.
